Major Responsibilities
General
1. Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work

4. Attends all scheduled training sessions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, including all departments, services, and outlets.
2. Be fully responsible for every room by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance are controlled, correctly stocked & operationally always prepared according to standards.
3. Build a confidence with in-house guests, ensure guests are recognized and obtain specific individual preferences (likes/dislikes) in order to maintain guest history and a high level of communication within the department.
4. Maintain privacy and security of in-house guests and be continually proactive in all areas of operation.
5. Prepare and check-in arrival rooms, in-house guests, and departure rooms.
6. Promotes inter-hotel sales and in-house facilities and is aware of events, hotel facilities, F&B venues, special promotions for the purpose of assisting guests and offering accurate information.
7. Responsible for the amenities order and amenities delivery to the rooms on daily basis.
8. Looking after guest room maintenance and ensuring its completed.
9. To see guest daily needs and requirements are well planned in advance by creating `WOW` Experience.
10. Maintaining guest amenities, supplies and special beverage stock record for smooth operations.
11. Actively obtains feedback from guests to improve services and facilities and feedback is shared with direct supervisor
12. Support and assist Senior Management and perform duties and responsibility of Guest Pre-arrival Preparation
13. Ensure that guest’s preferences are provided upon arrival to the resort, including choice of beverages, etc.
14. Offering pre-arrival butler forms for guests to fill out, ensuring that the butler is prepared for any special requests such as dietary restrictions, babysitting needs, or special occasions.
15. Arranging airport transfers for the guests, Taxis hiring services, activity coordination, safari setup, meals packing and aligning short trips in and around and escorting individual guest from check in till check out.
16. Coordinating with laundry for their garments laundered Ironing and placing them back in room, by keeping guest informed of same.
17. Preparing registration forms for guests & offering express Check In & Check Out.
18. Preparing welcome cocktail and refreshing towels for guests.
19. The butler's guest arrival procedure training includes the following:
20. Meeting, greeting, and offering the guests cool or warm welcome towels.
21. Offering welcome drinks or cocktails for the guests.
22. Offering private check-in for guests.
23. To be experienced in making some cocktail and mocktails. (optional)
24. Introducing guests to their accommodation facilities, including in-room beverages, how air conditioner works, and all other important information that will make the guest’s stay comfortable.
25. Complete briefing about his stay and planning their itinerary prior or after check in.
26. Unpacking the guest’s luggage. (optional)
27. Escorting guests to the restaurant for dinner where they have reserved a beautifully decorated table.
28. Always assisting guest for their needs and requirement.
29. Ability to keep guest engaged during their stay till or before they retire for the day.
30. Ensuring that the guests' suite is turned down and has all the amenities of the night. Hotel rooms turn-down includes removing cushions from the bed, folding the duvet, closing curtains, laying gowns/ bathrobes and slippers on either side of the bed, switching on the air conditioner to the desired temperature, laying the breakfast menu and chocolates on top of each pillow, putting still water on each side of the bed, switching off main lights and switching on bedside lamps, etc.
31. Butlers are always a phone call away. Most hotels provide mobile phones and the guest can just call his butler whenever they need them.
32.It is one of the most challenging yet fulfilling jobs. Butler handles high-end guests including celebrities, wealthy families, politicians, etc.
